Tugi Grants

In Estonian, the word “Tugi” refers to a range of supports. That is exactly what the InFTF Tugi Grant Program is designed to provide. This is not just another grant program, it is structured so that an independent judge panel can make funding decisions and provide one time, fixed-award grants to applicants seeking financial support. InFTF aims to encourage a wide base of applicants, anyone with a creative idea is welcome to apply.

Tugi Grants offer a straightforward way to request a set amount of support, 60,000 XAH per award, to help achieve clear goals. Proposal topics are nearly limitless, from art to software development. Applicants do not need to focus on technology or have a blockchain background.

What are Tugi Grants?

Tugi Grants provide a clear process to request a fixed amount of support. Proposals can cover many domains, including creative, social, research, education, or software. Applicants do not need technical or blockchain expertise.

The motivation behind Tugi Grants

When the Xahau Network launched, InFTF received a significant allocation of XAH to help promote a healthy ecosystem. Accounts holding XAH on the Network earn 4% annual interest, paid monthly. InFTF will use smart contract functionality on Xahau to automatically move 75% of each monthly balance adjustment reward into a publicly visible account dedicated to grants. If the full amount is not awarded in a given month, the remaining funds stay in the account for future awards.

At the time of writing, this supports awards of approximately 600,000 XAH per month, distributed to 10 recipients, each receiving 60,000 XAH.

Tugi Grant applications

Tugi Grants are open to a wide range of applicants. There is no single application format. Include any materials you find relevant, for example a clear written summary and, if helpful, short video context. Assume the judges are not familiar with your previous work. Provide enough detail to avoid extra research.

Applications are judged by a panel that operates independently from InFTF. The panel will include an odd number of judges with a mix of professional backgrounds and nationalities. As long as proposals comply with laws and regulations, judges have broad discretion when selecting awardees.

Submit complete applications and questions via email: [email protected]. Due to volume, replies are not guaranteed. There are no deadlines. Submissions are evaluated on a rolling basis. Awardees receive 60,000 XAH and must provide an address they control on the Xahau Network.

Required information

  • The applicant’s full legal name and birthdate
  • The applicant’s country of citizenship and country of residency
  • The applicant’s Xahau Network address

Fine print

An applicant can receive a maximum of four Tugi Grants, 240,000 XAH, in a calendar year. While outcomes are not mandatory, anyone applying for a subsequent grant should include a short note on how previous funds were used.

InFTF will conduct due diligence. All applicants must provide legal identification. Projects that conflict with laws or regulations are not eligible. Examples include projects that promote gambling, multilevel marketing schemes, substance use or illicit drugs, or sexually explicit content. Applicants in some geographic regions may be ineligible due to sanctions or other requirements. InFTF reserves the right to deny funding as required by law.

This is a trial program. InFTF may alter or end the program at any time.
