InFTF donates 2 Million XAH to TalTech

On November 21, 2024, the first-ever digital asset donation to a university in Estonia took place. The non-profit organization InFTF donated 2,000,000 XAH, the main token of the Xahau Network blockchain, to the Development Fund of TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology.

At the event attended by Bharath Chari, a board member of the InFTF organization, along with key figures from Tallinn University of Technology, such as the Rector, Tiit Land, and the Director of the University Development Fund, Elinor Toming, access cards to the donated funds for the University’s Development Fund were handed over.

The tokens, stored on the Xahau Network blockchain, are accessible to the Development Fund through a sophisticated multi-signature system. This system ensures secure fund unlocking with the authorization of several university members, eliminating the need for a central authority to manage the funds. The technology allows the access card to connect with a mobile device, enabling the unlocking and transfer of funds via an application.

TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology has welcomed this donation as a new type of asset that supports its Development Fund, benefiting students and research projects at the university. InFTF hopes to continue collaborating with institutions and organizations to support more young people and professionals dedicated to research and thanks TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology for supporting this initiative.
